Karin is a registered speech-language pathologist with Ordre des orthophonistes et audiologistes du Québec (Quebec College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists) and a full member of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Canada (SAC).
Karin has experience evaluating and treating school-aged children and adults with a variety of language, articulation, motor speech, and fluency disorders. She also has experience evaluating and treating adults with acquired brain injury.
Karin received her MA (Linguistics) and MHSc (Speech-Language Pathology) from the University of Ottawa and her PhD (Psycholinguistics/neurolinguistics) from the University of Alberta. For her doctoral research, she developed, tested, and evaluated a new tool for language rehabilitation after neurological damage (stroke), the Morphological Therapy Protocol.
Karin has experience teaching at the primary school level and at the university level.
